Our recreational dance classes give children an opportunity to be creative, active and have FUN!

iDance offers a recreational dance program for children aged 3 -16. The following disciplines are offered at the recreational level:

- Ballet
- Jazz
- Tap
- Acro
- Hip Hop, including an All Boys Hip Hop class
- Lyrical/Contemporary

- Adult Tap

- Kinder Dance (combo of ballet / jazz / lyrical)

- Combo Jazz Hip Hop 

- Adult Hip Hop

​Each class runs once a week and is taught by qualified instructors. In class, students focus on learning technique through centre exercises, combinations and across the floor,. After developing an understanding of proper dance technique & steps, students work on a routine which they perform in the showcase (December for Fall Term) or recital (May for Winter/Spring Term).

iDance is committed to keeping class sizes small to ensure that all students receive individualized attention to achieve their goals. Classes of younger ages (9 and under) typically have 1-2 additional supporting teachers to the Lead teacher who are trained as Teacher's Assistants.​

All Recreational dancers enrolled in our Fall Session classes will be required to buy a Showcase costume ($75 + HST on Nov 6th).  Dancers will perform in a Winter Recital on Sunday December 8th at Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.  Tickets will also be sold for family and friends to watch. A Professional Videographer will record the show and all families will be given access - this is covered in the Registration Fee paid at the start of the session.

iDance has a great reputation for having the highest quality and most appropriate costumes/outfits for all dancers.
